Overview
About Me
I live in Szentendre, a town north of the capital. Currently I'm enrolled in a master's programme in biomedical engineering and I participate in the development of a rehabilitational robot meant to help paralyzed people.
When meeting new people I need some time to open up, so don't take offence at my initial silence, please. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet, but I'm going to change that soon! :) I'm going to Ireland with a friend this April where we plan to try couchsurfing for the first time.
I hope to become a host myself after I've moved to my own flat but that won't happen until autumn. :(
Interests
My professional interest lies in natural sciences (especially physics and life sciences), biomedical engineering. and computer science.
I usually spend my spare time with my friends, reading or programming. I like exploring either by travelling to other countries or by roaming my more immediate environment on foot or by bike (or simply by taking random buses or trams in the capital :p).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: depends very much on my current mood but I usually listen to different genres of rock.
Movies: I don't really have preferences here, there are good pictures of all kind. I especially love the movies of Stanley Kubrick, Akira Kurosawa and Woody Allen. I dislike almost all TV series, however.
Books: I read quite a lot of different stuff, from physics, CS, mathematics, biology and medicine (these are related to my studies and research) to history, mythology and literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent my last summer hitchhiking around Europe with my friend, from Hungary to the tip of Brittany and back, visiting Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Switzerland on the fly with our only goal being to reach the end of the land. (*) We finally hit the ocean at Landéda not long before dusk with the high tide coming in and rapidly engulfing the small reefs littered through the bay - quite perfect timing. :)
And this was only a single moment in our month-long journey...
(*) Well, actually, we'd planned to visit Barcelona, as well, but we ran out of time. We hope to make up for that soon. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Time, joy, stories. Maybe a crash course in Hungarian should anyone be interested in that. :D
