Overview
About Me
My name is Jørgen(George is the most reasonable translation for english-speakers), and I'm a student from Norway. I am currently studying Political science in Trondheim, and have no idea for what to do with my future and education; that is for my future self to solve.
In the meantime, I try out different hobbies and things, and try to enjoy the ride that is life. Hopefully in my future, I will be so wealthy that I can afford to eat. I try to keep an open mind and eyes to my surroundings, and I wish to learn about the world from more than just books and techincal facts. I wish to explore the great, messy place that is our planet and the strange people who live here.
My deep wanderlust is not complimentary with my bad habit of procrastination, so I have found it difficult to travel. So therefore, if I first am on a little trip or journey, I wish to do as much as possible!
Looking forward to meeting you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Trying to start traveling, seeing more of world. I am starting a European journey this july, two weeks in Great Britain, and two weeks in Poland and Czechia.
Why I'm not hosting
I don't live by myself and don't have the space to let strangers in. I wish to host when I find I move to live by myself!
Interests
It's a wide field of interests I have, but I try to keep it consistent here. Ask me about my different hobbies in person, I might have forgotten some of them.
- culture
- writing
- beer
- politics
- movies
- music
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite movie: Clockwork Orange(Stanley Kubrick, 1971) and Into the wild (Sean Penn, 2007)
Favorite music: Oh, boy. Green day has a place in my heart, Pink Floyd(ofc) The Clash, alot of different genres, like rock/metal, classical, hip-hop etc. Fond of alot of norwegian music.
Best books: Starting to read more literature, but not too familiar. Sophie' World is amazing, The Hobbit, Of Mice and Men. I'm slowly moving into the world of Albert Camus, currently reading "The Fall".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Attending a metal festival in 27 degrees burning sun. It was just really fun, to suffer in the heat but not caring because the pure essence of mass suggestion just euphorically made every though of the discomfort disappear in the pure enjoyment of the moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: Ideas, philosophy, reflections on the human condition and other things I overanalyze. I can teach a little music, some of my native language, and alot of other funfacts that I know.
I can learn: Everything about life and love. Also a little more math. Alot of language!
I can share: The enjoyment of the moment.
