About Me

After quiting my ex job, began to make ceramic and now I have an art studio where is close to Kadıköy İstanbul. I give ceramic lessons and make something :) If I don't work I always try to travel with my partner. Had been almost 18 counturies, maybe 100 or more cities by now. I dance Cuban salsa for a long time. Like to know new people and have fun together. Life is short world is big. So I try to enjoy all my moments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always like travelling and meeting new people. I heard about couchsurfing but last summer I put one of my friend and his friends up in my home. Saw that they were friends from couchsurfing for a long time, it was very sweet. When I was travelling I knew new people and had a nice friendship, they came to İstanbul we had nice times.. So if we like travelling and to know new people and new cultures, guess couchsurfing is a good way to have it :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job :) - Maybe not amazing but very enjoyable thing I've done that. When I was strolling on the Trinidad streets in Cuba, I heard a nice music and began to follow its sounds. I found myself in front of a small and poor house. People were drinking Rum, dancing and singing in this house. I said a short hi to them and they invited me inside. Oh it was crazy! They were santerian which is a special religion mixed Christian and African religions for Cuba. They were celebrating something for their son(Actually, my Spanish was inadequate to understand what was happening in there ) by Santerian rituels. After rituels ending, we began to dance, drink, speak it had contuniued for all day. People were very friendly and nice. We didn't know each other, we couldn't speak our languages but our connection was perfect. I don't know maybe because of Rum or Maybe because of dancing but no matter I saw that sometimes we don't need to language for meeting new ones..

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the details of my culture and its traditional cusine. İf they want I can teach making ceramic :)

I would like to learn details about culture of my guests and maybe I would want them to cook anything from their traditional cuisine but just once :)

Definitely I will share the most important and special places in my city. I would like to share my opinions about movies, literature, travelling, dance, music and everything about the life, also.

But I did experience that some of members try to use our sweet home as a hotel 😐 Please remember that we are here for exchanging cultures so if you want to stay with us please try to think about that ☺️

What I Can Share with Hosts
