Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of being more than a "tourist" when I travel. I want to visit a city/a place and understand it as its known by the locals.

With the hosts I'd like to share precious moments of any kind - be it cooking/having dinner together, drinking a glass of wine, seeing the sights the city has to offer or just having a neat conversation.

So far I have only had one couchsurfing experience which was absolutely amazing: A friend of mine and I visited Hamburg ...and we had a blast with our host: we cooked together, went out one night, played Settlers of Catan.... A quite good first experience, I'd say.
