关于我

CURRENT MISSION

To expand, to heal and forgive, to travel and appreciate other's cultures and world views, to live simply and wholesomely, to adventure, to smile and provoke smiles, to listen, to give and to harvest love.

ABOUT ME

In short, I am very human friendly and inclined more towards trust and honesty. I am passionate about outdoor nature oriented activities such as hiking, surfing, camping,sustainability, etc. and equally appreciate the more physically passive yet mentally uplifting activities such as cozy reading, writing or art making. I prefer lifestyles that are closely intertwined with natural settings and local fresh, renewable resources, and equally important, lifestyles that are communal and fraternal. I stray away form overly-individualistic and self serving cultures or lifestyles.
At this stage of my life I am unendingly thirsty to meet new people and cultures as well as new and exciting adventures to embark on. Hopefully this energy will endure throughout all of my stages! I am strongly drawn to Ayurveda and the 8-limbed Yogic science in my efforts of self-healing, and also for potentially guiding in other's healing processes as well.
I love to engage with people and break limiting barriers. Nonetheless, I have deep respect for solemnity and calm. I firmly believe that in every stranger there is the opportunity to make a friend.

PHILOSOPHY

To me, the truest philosophy is simultaneously poetic and the most beautiful poetry densely philosophic, because the way I see it, reality is the grandest poem ever conceived, filled with metaphors and authorship.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”
{Golden}

“The kingdom of heaven resides within your heart”
{Jesus}

“The pain you carry is the love you withhold, lifetime after lifetime”
{M. Ghandi}

“ Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
{Hippocrates}

“Antes que nada, no hacer daño.”
{K. Bhat}

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I became aware of CS through several of my friends who share a similar passion of traveling the world and immersing themselves in new cultures. Their account of how helpful it was and my disbelief that such an amazing network truly existed lead me to discover CS. In addition, now that I am living somewhere alone, outside of my parents home, and in such an international crossroads as Mallorca, I was left with no excuse for creating a profile and offering a couch or two.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to receive a guest or to be received by a host through CS specifically due to my recent sign up to CS. Nonetheless I have hosted many Kawanhee friends from U.S. in my home in Puerto Rico when they were looking for a place to stay for their spring break visit. I would cook for them (even breakfast in bed) and take them out to do sightseeing and nature adventures (hikes, swimming holes, caves, etc.). It has always been a pleasure for me to host as I get to see my surroundings through the eyes, bathed in novelty, that guests always carry. Aside from that, it is simply enjoyable to help somebody on their worldly adventures.

On another note, I have been a guest to uncountable hosts, including the native Lenca people in Honduras, a Forbes Magazine journalist in New York City, an internationally acclaimed Non-Violent Communication (NVC) promoter in Rio de Janeiro, a monastic praying center in Minas Gerais, Brazil and my girlfriends parents in San Juan, Puerto Rico and always have I felt and pinpointed the outstanding qualities of a good host: to treat guests as if they were your own kin, to respect and serve with humble heart and firm expectations. As I have been served and received I shall always be willing to pay on forward the gift of a home.
