About Me
Hi everyone!
I'm a solar and cheery girl, eager to meet people from all over the world. I currently live in Naples with my housemates, but when I am in my tiny village I live with my mother, my sister, and four cute cats. I'd love to travel all around the world, and learn as more languages as possible.
I took a master's degree in literary translation at "Università di Napoli "L'Orientale" (based in Naples) in literary translation and I am currently working as translator.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet people all around the world and to improve my skills and languages.
Interests
I'm a singer, so I spend a lot of time with music. I played football (as striker), but I was really not very good at it. I read a lot, especially fantasy books (I'm a ASOIAF saga fan and a great supporter of the "Game of Thrones" TV series).
When I am not at home, I work in a shop in the historical centre of Naples (I sell limoncello, so come visit me!).
I also work as literary translator: I have a BabelCube account, I translated "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" into Italian, I have a blog for which I translate american and english articles regarding Disney, Marvel and Star Wars' news, and probably one day I will start to translate the "Game of Thrones" saga (at least, I hope it). I also work for an American translation agency.
Music, Movies, and Books
- Music: Punk, rock, alternative, '80s and '90s, indie. Favourite singers/bands: Paramore, Arctic Monkeys, The XX, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Muse, SOAD, MCR, 30stm, Blink182).
- Trips
- Reading: "A song of ice and fire" saga, Harry Potter, and other fantasy books ('Fallen' saga by Lauren Kate, for instance)
- Tv series (Game of Thrones, The big bang theory, American horror story, Doctor Who, Grey's anatomy, OUAT, How I met your mother, New Girl, 2 Broke Girls, Lucifer etc.etc.etc.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Italian translation of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" and my thesis on Dothraki, for sure!
