About Me
Hey you!
I'm Hélène, I work in Liège as a social worker and I like meeting new people! I like travelling. Unfortunately right now, I'm not able to travel. So I decided to be a host and to invite people at home. I would be happy to meet you :-) Me and my huisband are welcoming and we like international relationships! So, do not hesitate and contact me! I enjoy meeting you and sharing some time with you :-) .
I'm graduated in communication and I work at Caritas International. I'm sudying social work. I like to talk about my culture, my country and to learn about other cultures. I'm a welcoming and smiling person. I'm open minded.
I like chocolate!! If you decide to visit me, be sur that you will have the opportunity to taste our famous Belgian chocolate ;-).
Travelling doesn't have sense if you don't meet people. You can visit the farest country in the world. If you don't meet locals, you don't see anything.
Even if you come from a close city, we have passions or interests in common. Sharing them is a wealth. These sharing moments are travelling. No need to go far. Even neighbors have things to share and to learn to each others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had a couchsurfing experience some years ago. I still remember this incredible experiment and the kindness of my host, a young girl from Hungary. I would like give the same experiment to travellers and being a part of their travel by hosting them.

Actual music (radio), too much books (Eat, pray love from Elizabeth Gildert; the bookseller of Bagdad, lots of philosophical and psychological books from Laurent Gounelle, Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, Frédéric Lenoir, Paulo Coelho, Khalil Gibran,...), alternatives Belgian movies are really interresting ("Rumba", "La fée",...) or dramas and engaged movies (Bohemian Rhapsody, Zagros, Pupille, Hors normes, the Prophet, Crazy Heart,...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived one year in Lebanon. I left as a volunteer teacher. The best experiment of my life!
