About Me
Where to start?
My name's Tommy, currently working as a watch repair.
It is almost as if I'm a Tainan-ese due to the fact that It has been seven years since I started studying at Nation Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Tainan.
I lived in the USA when I was a child and went on a semester-long exchange program to Zagreb University in Croatia. Thus meeting people from different cultural background is no problem for me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During my previous visit to Europe I had the pleasure of couchsurfing at multiple places in France and Switzerland, which ended up to be one of the greatest memories of my solo-traveling experiences all-together! I then vowed to host people like me once I got back to my city, and here we are.
We've had backpackers from all over the world, but mostly from acquiescence. My roommates and I decided to post our information on Couchsurfing website in hope to invite more over!
We welcome kind and respectful travelers who are willing or intrigued at least to share their stories and befriend with the rest of us.

To name a few of the artists from my playlist...
The Cure, Arctic Monkeys, The Stroke, Aphasia, Elephant Gym, The Killers, Keane... and so on.
Books include:
The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye, Lord of the Rings, The Book Thief, Wool, Japanese literature and some Taiwanese short novels.
Movies:
Definitely Star Wars fan, LOTR's, Manchester by the Sea, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Quadrophenia, Inception, Into The Wild....
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was selling flowers with my Vespa scooter like a pop-up vendor. It was first a social experiment to see how much Taiwanese people accept this idea, and it turned out to be extremely fun!
Teach, Learn, Share
Taiwanese culture, maybe share some travel experiences in Asian countries.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We live in a flat with a huge living room, kitchen, four bedrooms (currently full), one shared bathroom. So it's spacious enough for backpackers to crash over.
Having worked and studied in Tainan City, I can confidently say that I'm quite a tour guide to give travelers some suggestions regarding his or her stay.
Unfortunately we can't provide transportation, however if any of our roommates are available you can feel free to ask for a ride to places you'd like to visit.
