Hello! We're Ceren and Ralf, a warm-hearted couple living in the heart of Berlin with our adorable 3-year-old son. We're both pursuing our Master's in Clinical Psychology here in the city.

Our Background:

Ceren embraced Germany's culture, language, and experiences when she moved here 6 years ago. Ralf, on the other hand, previously had an athletic background but is quite humble about his achievements. These days, he's fully invested in his academic pursuits and cherishes the quiet moments of fatherhood.

Our Interests:

One of the things we're passionate about is engaging in international activities. We love meeting people from different cultures, exchanging stories, and learning from their unique experiences. Berlin has been a fantastic hub for such interactions, and we're always eager to host and connect with travelers who share our enthusiasm for global exploration.

Parenting & Studying:

Juggling parenting and pursuing a Master's degree can be quite a challenge, but we believe it's all about balance. Our little boy brings immense joy to our lives, and Berlin has been the perfect playground for him. While we are dedicated to our studies, we also ensure we have quality family time, exploring parks, museums, and various child-friendly spots in the city.

Hosting Experience:

We love the idea of opening our home to like-minded travelers, especially those who'd enjoy a local Berlin experience with a touch of international flair. While we are busy with our son and studies, we try our best to provide our guests with recommendations, stories, and occasionally, shared meals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As we juggle studies and parenting in Berlin, we find joy in opening our home to travelers, learning from them, and offering a slice of our life in return. It's this exchange of stories, cultures, and experiences that makes Couchsurfing invaluable to us.

Interests

We enjoy learning about different cultures and meeting new people. We're both studying clinical psychology, which keeps us curious about the world around us. Most of our time is spent with our son or in the parks of Berlin, just enjoying the simple pleasures. We occasionally attend international events in Berlin when time permits. And on the side, Ralf enjoys climbing now and then.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the bravest and most significant steps in my life was leaving everything behind and moving to Germany to build a life together with him. This decision was not just a geographical shift but also a leap into the unknown, marked by hope, love, and the desire for a fresh start. It was an experience that made me grow in many ways and showed me the depths of love and determination.

We love discussing controversial topics, especially when we hold differing views on them. There's something unique and valuable in exploring different perspectives and expanding our horizons together. For us, sharing opinions and learning from others is one of the best ways to grow together and understand more about the world and our places in it.
