About Me

I'm a 20 year old girl from the second biggest city ind Denmark, Aarhus. I've lived there my whole life and I love the city.

I finished the Danish sort of high school, gymnasium, in the summer 2015 and I'm currently having the first of two gap years before I'm going to university to study social studies. In my gap year I worked as a technical support at the company Rambøll Management where I help people either over the phone or on e-mail, when they are having issues or questions with the surveys that we do for example big companies or governmental institutions. After the summer vacation I am going to a Danish sort of school for 4 months where I will also be traveling to Mexico for a while. I'd love to tell more about this Danish school because it is a very special tradition.

I am a very out-going and happy person who loves to meet new faces!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never actually tried couchsurfing myself but I have heard a lot of great things from my friends who have tried it when they have been traveling. I'd love to experience a new city with the advice and friendship of a host from couchsurfing.

My friend Louise and I are traveling to Prague and London this summer and we'd love to meet some local people who could maybe show us around and tell us all about their culture and their city.

Interests

My biggest interest is definitely politics and i am very active in the Danish party Socialistisk Folkeparti, which is a left-wing, green party in Denmark. Until recently I was a local vice chairman in the youth organisation and I am now a member of the national leadership in the youth party. I love to discuss politics with all sorts of people and in general to talk to people and learn from their cultures, opinions and experiences. I believe that we can all learn a lot from each other if we dare to have the conversations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was really proud when i ran for a chair in the leadership nationally of the youth party in which I am active and got elected! I felt a bit undertipped but it all went really well and I was so happy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to offer my friendship and be a social and easy going guest in your home. It is always interesting to learn from new people and I'd hope that I could share some stories and experiences from my home country over a cup of coffee or a cold beer.
