About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The world is a beautiful place. Let's all meet and share :-)

ABOUT ME

Hey there,
I'm Jean-Sébastien (my friends call me Jean-Seb or JS), 28, from Brussels.
I've worked for 4 years as an IT Consultant (SAP for those who know ...).
During that time, I hosted a lot in Brussels and traveled through nearly every country in Europe, meeting nearly 100 couchsurfers.
But I had the feeling that all my travels were always "in a rush", so I decided to put some money aside, and then quit my job in April 2016.
I don't know for how long I will be able to travel with my savings, but for sure I plan to have as much fun as I can during this break.

Hope to see you soon !
JS

PHILOSOPHY

I'd rather be an optimist who's wrong than a pessimist who's right (A. Einstein)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I m currently back at my parents' house, so no more hosting ...
But I m still glad to give guided tours and have a beer with you !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Up to now, I've been hosted in 120 different cities, and have hosted myself 25 people in Brussels.
Every single time was perfect. The people of the Couchsurfing Community are AWESOME :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing a massive roadtrip from Belgium to Greece, alone : 26 days, 7600 km, 10 countries, 22 cities, 25 couchsurfers met, and 1.000 liters of beer in my stomach :D

Managing to enter a heavily guarded tent in Munich's Oktoberfest, by pretending to be a waiter, holding 10 empty 1-liter glasses in my hands and shouting "ENTSCHULDIGUNG !!!!"

Backpacking for 3 months on my own in the US and Canada, visiting 28 cities and 14 National Parks.

Seeing my Vietnamese guest Phan eating a whole "mitraillette" (Belgian typical dish => really massive) on her own. First guest who passes the test !!!
*Update 24/02/2016* : After 1,5 year, finally a second CSer is able to finish the "mitraillette" !! Congrats to Karen from Denmark !!! C'mon guys, you re getting your asses kicked by ladies !!
