About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living life to the fullest !
ABOUT ME
Im Ciara, Im 22 and from Dublin, Ireland. e. I am training to be a teacher.
I am currently presenting an Irish language TV programme called ‘Ó tholg go Tolg’, with my friend Bláithín (BEINGBLA) , she is the camera person. We will be travelling all over Europe during the Summer documenting our experiences. . The programme is all about how CouchSurfing works and how we get to see another side of a place because of this alternative way of travelling. We are looking forward to this amazing experience and we hope you will be part of the fun !
I love all things creative and fun. I love photography, baking, cake decorating and all kinds of sports, I play volleyball and I ran my first full marathon in 2012. I have passion for architecture and art history, its my favourite part of travelling (except for the food). I love getting lost in a new city and letting its buildings tell a story about itself.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy of life is to be kind, generous, helpful, and honest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I am an interested by stander but come this Summer I will be on my very first CS adventure (Exciting !!) I hope that when I come back that I will be able to give other people a CS experience and host them here at home.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have no couchsurfing experience to date, unless you count crashing on friends couches after a night out ! I am really looking forward to this Summer and my first CS experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music, Im very chilled and relaxed so I mostly listen to acoustic and folksy type music but everything goes :)
I love reading, I dont really have a favourite genre (but I am a sucker for a good romance...who isnt ?). I love reading Irish literature, its so difficult to come across stuff written in our beautiful native language but there is a wealth of culture and heritage hidden in the books that are available.
Im not a big movie buff but if I had to describe my taste in movies it would probably be awful....if people slate a movie I can pretty much guarantee I loved it !! If its stupid and funny I'll probably enjoy it, but I do like a good documentary as well :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went camping in Alaska 2 Summers ago, it was absolutely incredible. We got to see so much wildlife that we dont have at home, between plants and animals there was never a dull moment !
Went Scuba diving in Spain
Fed giraffes in Tunisia !! They are so cute...don't believe me google how they sleep !
Teach, Learn, Share
I know loads about Greek and Roman history (If thats what you're into :)) and I am an Irish language enthusiast who would be only too happy to share a phrase or two ! I am a great cook and a whiz at baking and would be only too happy to make something for you.
I would love to learn anything you could teach me. I am always open to knew experiences and any new skill is a good skill !
