I'm a creative type with great passion for writing, reading, photography, filmmaking,art and the arts in general. however, above all interests is the desire to communicate with other people. people are the reason we do everything else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couch Surfing was invaluble to me when I was backpacking around Europe- everyone I met was friendly and generous to me and I hope to pay forward that experience.
I used to host in my student flat but currently don't have the room- however I'm always happy to meet up with other surfers, show them around, go for a coffee, share stories.

(took some time out of couchsurfing while slugging on my MA and living in a one-room flat, forgot password and now quite locked out of my old account, so sorry everyone i'm refriending.)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met several couchsurfers who were in London to photograph and interview them. I love stories, and I love to pass on stories that I receive.
That said, I don't require this kind of collaboration with everyone I meet up with, but when it happens, it's a truly brilliant thing.

When I was going round Europe all my couchsurfing experience was incredibly positive and I'm so grateful to those kind people who helped me out.

Love Russian literature (Nabokov especially), also English Romantic literature (especially Percy Shelley). Many, many books.
All of Nabokov, M.W. Shelley, Chekhov, The Pianist (Berberova), Atonement, The Wicked series, Mercedes Ice, probably many others I'm shamed to miss...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk a lot about poetry (phd student, published poet). Writing devices. Bit of grammar, Photography 101, scattered mythologies, briefly taught art at very basic level, drama skills, confidence and presentation skills- work as a tutor so can help tidy up essays and so on very well!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to talk, especially about art and literature and films, and I think I'm a good debating buddy. I can help to teach English, art,
I also love making and writing letters and can make you something and keep in touch!
