About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Maintain my body temperature above freezing!

ABOUT ME
Things I have learned in America:

Tipping is something you do to a waiter, not a cow. Silverware isn't silver. Soylent green is scrapple. Hot pockets only need to be heated for 18 minutes, not 28, the instructions are a lie.

The fact that someone owns a gun here, does not mean they know how to use it. I saw someone missing at 7 yards!

The most entertainment you can have is sitting at a busy intersection during heavy snowfall.

Corn syrup, corn syrup, corn syrup, corn syrup, corn syrup, corn syrup, corn syrup.

My German trip:

Things I learned while in Bavaria. It is totally normal to buy alcohol in a gas station, but forbidden in casinos. Do not wave at every Bavarian you see, unless it's the waiter, in which case even a signal flare may not be sufficient. The shops selling large dusty boulders are in fact bakeries, with sufficient arm strength one can learn to consume these curious objects. Never fix a man's tractor unless you wish to be drowned in beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have you tried a mince and cheese pie? Well? Have you?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
USA: I have not couch surfed here yet, I can't wait to meet my first 'merican host!

Germany:

So far, great! Have been doing it offline until now. Managed to fix a tractor for my last host, now he can get wood for winter. Slightly proud of myself!

Update, still awesome! I love the reactions I get to my cooking, I never thought I'd be teaching Europeans how to fry an egg, but it's happened! I've made so many friends, and I can't wait to meet them all again one day.

Interests

Science is my passion, so are motorcycles, food, humour, conversation, philosophy, music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Squirrels and snowflakes, two things we don't have in New Zealand. Both fill me with a childish joy, one makes me reach for my nuts.
