PHILOSOPHY

Here's a little metaphore from the Exodus I find useful to describe it : on the Tablets of Stone brought back by Moses from the Mount Sinai, the words were not engraved but rather bored fully through the stone. This is because to be plainly and deeply meaningfull the words must not catch you eye but being seen only through reality, acting so as an empty framework to be filled by our experience of life.
Words, either spoken or written, can make you blind or they can enhance your sight.
I'm agnostic by the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can be your host in Aix, or just offer time to give you some advices about places to hang out in Aix and Marseille, cities or spots around that are worth visiting, or simply talking about important and less important things of life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newcomer on CS, I never used it during my travels yet.

Interests

One of my main problem is I get bored very easily. That's why I need to do new and different things all the time. Insofar I have to study I can't travel, but couchsurfing seems to be the perfect solution for me to meet people from different horizons, and have the excitement of moving without traveling.
I study philosphy so I spend a lot of time reading, and writing. Or trying to do so sometimes... But I definitely need to balance studies with time spent hanging out with friends. Aix is a small student city and there's always a party going on somewhere...
I'm very interested in art, especially music (I've been studied musicology for three years at the uni), I just can't imagine a day without music. I appreciate cinema, theatre litterature and painting too.
I also always enjoy spending time exploring the wonderful region I live in, we are so lucky to have the sea, the mountain, and many amazing spots around -- all this with the sun ! I'm a biker, and I love so much cruising in this landscapes.

Music, Movies, and Books

A glimpse of my taste :
I listen a lot of music. Bands among my favs include old stuff like the Rolling Stones, Otis Redding, Pink Floyd, Dylan, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, the RHCP, Violent Femmes... and more recent ones like the Black Keys, Angus and Julia Stone, White Stripes, the Kills, Bebe, Hanni El Khatib, Nicolas Jaar, Chet Faker, the Roots...
Here's some movies I recently enjoyed : Grand Budapest Hotel, Silver Linings Playbook, A Complete History of My Sexual Failures, Turks Fruits.
I read mostly philosophy since it's my study field. Aristotle, Spinoza and Brentano especially influenced me. Concerning writers I love Borges, Dostoïesvski, Céline or Balzac.
