About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm traveling through Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and maybe Jamaica during 2017 to learn Spanish, explore, learn and enjoy every day.

ABOUT ME

I love traveling and learning about other countries' cultures, politics and social issues. Having lived in a few different countries doing various jobs, I'm loving my work and travel lifestyle at the moment. Also, as a firm believer in the journey, not a destination, I also love connecting with great people, experiencing and enjoying every day of my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I enjoy surfing with amazing, generous people in the couchsurfing community and meeting interesting people from different walks of life and cultures. I have also hosted great surfers when I lived in England and have been surfed the couches of some wonderful people on my past travels, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had so many incredible couchsurfing experiences with spectacular people in many different countries! I have hosted some wonderful people when I lived in England. I have surfed the couches of some fantastic, generous souls. I have been to some crazy couchsurfing parties.

Interests

I love exploring new places, reading about current events, doing yoga, enjoying the outdoors, relaxing with friends, enjoying the sunshine, watching interesting documentaries, having mind boggling conversations, learning about the world, dancing, enjoying art, music and performances...

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment, I love electro-swing and more chilled out electronic remixes, but I also love music with "world music" overtones ha, so anything that has more local, indigenous music involved. Anything acoustic or live I absolutely love, too, in addition to reggae, dub, and anything that is musically great ha. Also, I want to learn more about jazz, so feel free to share your knowledge, no matter how small!
For movies, I love psychological thrillers, critical but somewhat balanced documentaries, and anything that is directed well, acted out well, and/or has unique cinematography.
For books, I like a mix of nonfiction and fiction at any one time. I've recently been reading more historical fiction. But, I truly love reading newspapers and magazines because there is so much to learn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw and listened to the Dalai Lama in the gorgeous mountains of Leh, Ladakh, India.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a native English speaker, I can help with any English questions. Also, if you want to talk about American popular and political culture, feel free.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I warmly offer my company, laughter, food and curiosity about your culture. Also, I love cooking healthy, hearty meals, so I would love to share my food and perhaps some wine :) I also workout daily with yoga so you are welcome to join!
