ABOUT ME

I would say I am a very curious person with far more things I like to do than time available for doing them. Hiking/Mountaineering, music, friends and reading are the activities that consume most of my free time. Friends say I am very easy going and I love to have interesting conversations with people, no matter how different in age or culture we are. I believe this world is far more interesting when we share our ideas, express our beliefs and learn from each other!
I grew up in Chile, but I have lived in Sweden for 6 months during an academic exchange and now have been living in Glasgow for some months after my studies.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used Couchsurfing during my trips while living in Sweden and had amazing experiences in many countries such as Norway and Germany, staying in places and meeting people I would never have in any other case. I dare to say that most of my memorable trips have involved meeting people through Couchsurfing and I look forward to new amazing experiences once again.

Interests

I belong to a mountaineering club in Chile and have been hiking and climbing for quite some years now. Those adventures have taken me to the Andes, Patagonia, Scandinavia, Iceland, the UK and hopefully the Alps in the near future. Therefore, I love nature: walking it, talking about it, looking at it, etc.

I am also very interested in keeping up to date with current world affairs and learning new things to have an updated opinion. As such, I read almost every little piece of paper that comes into my way (this is my nerdy side).

Needless to say, I also love traveling all around the world for the journey it represents. New places, new people and new food are always welcome as far as I am concerned!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: One of the most important parts of my day is listening to music. I like from clasical to metal. Dream Theater, Rush, Queen, Metallica, Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Paganini and many more. All this time in Scotland has got me into Celtic music quite a lot as well!

Books: Probably have read more books than what I can remember now. To my head comes Tolkien, George R. R. Martin, Dostoievsky, Poe. Fan of old books (to read them, smell them and decorate with them).

Movies: Uff, hard one. I love movies with a message, though I really enjoy action movies as well. A huge fan of the Lord Of The Rings,Star Wars, Gladiator, Silence Of The Lambs, and sooo many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing an exchange program in Lund (Sweden) gave me the opportunity to be in so many places I never thought I would be able to.

Definetely, the Northern Lights have been the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, it was a breathtaking moment.

Moving to Glasgow after finishing my Engineering degree.
