About Me
CURRENT MISSION
finding myself and on the way finding people and experiences to learn from
ABOUT MYSELF
My friends would define me as friendly and outgoing. When I began university I started to hang out with the exchange students in my city, and that would produce the spark that fired my desire and passion for travelling and meeting people from all around the world, and partially my love for languages.
After living in Germany for over a year, I moved to Brussels, and now I have been living in this city and working in the EU NGO sector for the last 4 years.
During the COVID lockdown, I discovered meditation and yoga, which I have been practising on and off but which has taught me and given me a lot.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
AS A HOST:
I've used couchsurfing a few times over the past years and I always found myself connecting with wonderful and memorable people. I want to give back to the community now that I have an actual place on my owm where I can comfortably host couchsurfers.
AS A TRAVELER:
I love solo travelling because of many reasons, one of them being paradoxically the social aspect. While for some friends it's an extremely lonely experience, for me it's exactly the opposite because it just forces you to encounter new people, who almost always have something new and to share with you. Couchsurfing eases this process in a way and allows you to meet not only people who are travelling while you do so, but also fellow travellers and adventurers that live in and know the city you want to explore. And that's just amazing!
Interests
I love traveling, many kinds of music (lately I've found myself reconnecting with Crystal Fighters), playing guitar, cinema, and the most simple pleasures in life such as taking a beer in a nice terrace with chilling music and nice company. Though I also love a proper techno evening!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2017 I got an hernia and decided to go to Thailand and Vietnam for a month and a half even though doctors strongly recommended quite the contrary. I went from having to sit down every 5 minutes in the streets of Bangkok due to the unbearable pain to doing a 20km trekking trail through a jungle in Vietnam in just a week, after two months of excruciating pain.
Months later I recovered the strength I had lost in the leg, which doctors said I would never get back. I still think my attitude towards it made the whole difference :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can:
- Cook an amazing tortilla de patata (every time I do it I get better, just saying :P )
- Teach you the basics of Basque, the most ancient language in Europe
- Show you how to swear in the 6 languages I speak! (or alternatively beautiful phrases :) )
- Play the guitar for you if I have it with me (and "try" to sing)
- Try to save the world with an idealistic (or not) vision of politics
- Forget what I was saying 5 seconds before
What I Can Share with Hosts
Friendliness, I'd like to think a witty sense of humour and good vibes! I'm also very open-minded and always ready to learn something new!
