About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be happy

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Dallas, but my parents are from South Korea. I currently live in Seoul, South Korea. I originally came here about 12 years ago to check out my roots, but I have been able to develop a wonderful career and very lucky to be able to pay rent doing what I love, which is acting and voice work. :D Since I am a freelancer, I am able to be flexible with my travel plans or with projects. I do a lot of non-profit work for women's issues, human rights issues and any issues my friends are into which are animal rights and breast cancer awareness.

Hmm...to describe myself...should I start off with "3 words that would describe me"? Passionate, Caring, and Fun. Many also describe me as "sassy", but I also mirror the people I'm with, so if you want to see the fun attitude...bring it! I would have to say what I enjoy most in life is good banter and a great conversation to learn and to share. I'm also a very good listener and give good advice. But I need to warn you...if you ever ask advice from me, I'm very honest...maybe too honest so if you don't want to hear the truth, then don't ask! :P

Qualities I expect from other people (therefore I try to hold myself to) are: Someone that's considerate (respectful and don't take anyone/anything for granted), don't take themselves too seriously and is just ...happy! I think we shouldn't bog ourselves down with stress and try to enjoy life to the fullest without hurting anyone.

Honestly, I love my life. I count my blessings EVERY DAY because I know I am lucky, but also because I CHOOSE to be happy.

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy and try not to hurt anyone or the earth in the process

A motto I learned early on: "It could always be worse~"

Music, Movies, and Books

Books, movies, music, etc...wow...it's pretty hard to summarize, but I am also a big believer of "being able to read someone by what's on their bookshelf, CD rack and movie rack...so I understand the reason for this section. Hmmm...

Here goes:
Movies - Pulp Fiction, Shawshank, Sense & Sensibility, Pretty Woman, As Good As it Gets, Swingers
Books - (not favorites, but just some that stick out) Kite Runner, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Freakonomics
Music - Jimi Hendricks, John Lee Hooker, Willie Nelson, George Strait, U2, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Shakira, The Kings of Leon, Foster the People, started swing dancing and salsa dancin!
Shows - Big Bang Theory, The Daily Show, Top Chef
Radio - This American Life, Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me

...judge as you will.... :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh my...I need to think about this one. I feel very blessed and lucky to have a lot to choose from~ ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well...I volunteered for 5 years about the "Comfort Women" issue with the women/girls being systematically forced into sex slavery while under Japanese rule in Korea if you'd like to visit the survivors...

I can also teach you to cook good ole southern food from Texas and mom's Korean food...

I would love to learn from you...anything from your culture, your life experiences and share all the good things in life!

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, China, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Philippines, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Viet Nam
