About Me

ABOUT ME

My name is Miroslav. In old Slavic it translates into "the one who celebrates peace". And I guess it would be a valid description. Peace in mind and heart will give you most energy for a quality life :)

I love travels, good music, science (mainly my field, regenerative medicine), economics and marketing, alternative medicine and basically any kind of physical activity.

Should I describe myself in greater detail, I am a philosophical person who tries to get a critical view on the world and grabs every opportunity to have fun at the same time.
Oh and I forgot. You will always make me happy with good food. Add a good company and thats as much as I need.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I see Couchsurfing as a great oportunity with open minded people. They are usually optimists, have passions in their life, and always a story to tell. Or with a mindset to do so.
Being in a foreign place, especially cities, without couchsurfing or airbnb people around is not even half the experience.
Sometimes its not a match, true, but - every once in a while there is, and those people are my friends till now. You don't make friends with hostel/hotel personnel... ;) (usually of course ;) )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is a few, passing jungle in Panama, diving in Carribean, hitchhiking in Europe (more destinations await though), hiking and hitchhiking in Scotland, making living on berry picking, discovering villages in Iran, getting a degree in Molecular Biology was one of them too, as is the whole research I'm into!

Maybe not amazing, but definitely crazy is living a life as a well rounded scientist. It takes guts to be socially active, be focused on your work and broaden your mind with travels.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to motivate yourself and never give up. I can tell you how to make good beer, cook Eastern European, Thai or Chinese dishes and teach you the skill of making a meal out of any fridge leftovers.

I can share some of my stories, though maybe not all of them. And share my personality of course! I have had many people shaping it, so it's time to give back ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe everything as with my guest - teach you some Slovak, Chinese, tell you a lot about medicine, pharmacology, cancer, biology, body workings...
And sure my travel stories, stories of people I met, bottle of beer or wine (I suggest beer as that is my expertise) and we sure can do some musich exchange too!
