About Me

A drifter and a booknerd who has always believed in kindness could help making the world a better place. Someone who likes to quote bunch of stuff instead of actually talking about herself.
A piece from the poem called Travel by Edna St. Vincent Millay.
“My heart is warm with the friends I make,
And better friends I'll not be knowing;
Yet there isn't a train I wouldn't take,
No matter where it's going.”
"To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life." - The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
"Courage. Kindness. Friendship. Character. These are the qualities that define us as human beings, and propel us, on occasion, to greatness." - somewhere on the internet.
“We very much went in with a feeling of, We're going into another culture, and we want to respect that culture and all I want to do is try and make these people laugh. I didn't want to do comedy where I'm making fun of something in their society, that's just rude. I wanted to go in sort of as a good ambassador, but also see if I could get them to laugh at my idiocy. Maybe that's the common language we all speak: whatever our differences, most people find me ridiculous.”
- Conan O’Brien.
P/S: I'm currently in Stuttgart, following my inner moonlight- trying to figure out my life.
PLEASE READ: I’m not on Couchsurfing for hook-up culture, and if that is your motivation for accepting my request/ offerring me a place or wanting to stay with me, I strongly encourage you to decline instead.
Sincerely,
Trang

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

"Can you hear it?
I am the shelter of endless calm
A creature of imagination.
The shelter of the lonesome
Igniting dreams in the night of a thousand years."
- Slovene poem
Meeting people to listen and learn about life.
I am always amazed how life leads us to cross path and getting to know you as a person and listen to your life stories, your conviction, your opinions about things and outlook on life. No matter where you're from, what your identity is and what you do for a living. I would love to keep being amazed by you.
- And because kindness never goes out of fashion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered to teach English for Blind Students in Hanoi - one of the best things I ever did.
Volunteered in Cambodia with my best friend for 6 weeks - best moments of our friendship.
Having my own Books and Coffee meetups - Have I mentioned how much nerdy I can be about books?
Performed Improv Comedy (ask me about my best performance lol).
Maybe solo travel as recently I've learned that not so many people are willing to travel alone.
Took the 23 hour bus journey Barcelona - Munich round trip instead of taking a flight just because I hate flying (mostly for environmental reasons as well). So now long distance seems like nothing to me.
