I am a Brazilian and I've been living in a small city in Minas Gerais - Brazil. I am not single and I am here to meet friends I don't mind if male or female but be respectful. I graduated in Portuguese and English languages last year. For the last 3 months I've been living the dream to travel and see the world, to share about my trip, I created the hashtag #90daysofwander, you can check it out on Instagram (@laragoes_).
During the month of may and june I was a volunteer teacher of English as a second language in a kindergarten in Hungary. I worked with kids from 2 to 7 years old. It was a new experience for me because in Brazil I just taught for young adults and adults. Then in my last week in Europe I traveled to Krakow, Bratislava and Vienna.
In the second part of my project I got a scholarship for a Teaching Improvement course in Colorado, US. I was participating of the TRIP (Teacher Readiness Improvement Program) at Aims Community College. I was one of the 11 teachers who came to US to learn new techniques and methods to improve my teaching skills. Thanks Partners of America for the opportunity and thanks Greeley local families for hosting us during this immersion program.
That's was the end of my project however not the end of my journey. I came to California to revisit a friend and former coworker of mine. We worked together in Brazil in the Languages center at the UFVJM. Now I am continuing my journey in Las Vegas. My flight is booked for sunday. I had everything set to stay with my friend's father. Moreover, I just got to know yesterday that I don't have a place to stay anymore. I intend to take a course and continue studying English to improve my practice as a English Teacher.
I am open to meet new people, to share stories and to hear yours as well. Drink a wine to together, talk about life, future, watch TV series together and explore the city. For now I cannot offer a place in Brazil because I am not there. But in a few months I will be back to my sweetie dog and I will have a place to share.
