Overview
About Me
I'm an open-minded curious French young man. I'm currently studying languages and relish any opportunity to practice !
I do believe that the world is too wide and big to just stay in one's native country, and that one can learn a lot about themselves and others while travelling, especially in a foreign country.
Music is very important to me, as well as meeting people ready to talk and share their life experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Though youth hostels are often a good accomodation while travelling, you sometimes only meet fellow travellers from other countries. And while this isn't a bad thing in itself, I believe that the only way to truly experience a country and its culture is by meeting and being guided by locals. Thus counchsurfing, an adventure which can lead to great meetings and nice surprises !
Interests
Being very curious, I can be amazed by the view of ancient monuments, as well as by that of a glorious tree in a park covered in snow.
I can be distracted by any music in the middle of a talk. I'll be lured to follow any unknown cat I may encounter on a street. If you like singing, we'll probably get along well !

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: the last of the Mohicans, the wind that shakes the barley, the Lord of the Rings
Books: Unbroken (Laura Hillenbrand), Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury), Armageddon Rag (George R.R Martin), If this is a man (Primo Levi)
Music: depends a lot on the moment and my mood. But for a long time I've had a sweet spot for Pink Floyd, Arctic Monkeys and Justice.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been on a one-week road trip in Gaspésie in Canada:
Had a flat tire by -25°C in the night in the middle of nowhere.
Stayed in a halt in the middle of a snow storm without tape water for 3 days.
Saw the sun rise above a lake in a forest while beavers swam dancing for us.
Saw the most beautiful sunset of my life on the ice and snow of Chaleur Bay while Tom Jones serenated us.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach guitar, French and English to those who may want to learn.
I often share my knowledge (sometimes when being not invited to do so) about nature, which results from my former biology studies.
I believe any shared piece of information can be of value, but I cherish learning new things about a culture and history as a whole.
If you can teach me piano and harmonica you are the best person on Earth.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My enthousiasm for novelty ! Stories of past travels and parties.
Debate about pretty much everything. Speak in several languages.
If you have a guitar, I'd gladly share a musical moment with you ! For music is beyond all words, and music heal all pains.
(I also know the recipe of a damn good brasilian carrot cake that I'd be glad to share !)
