ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Mélanie!!! I'm 22, and I'm currently in Law School in Paris. I'm a joyful person, and I love talking and listening to people from all over the world. I have a small touch of crazy in me, but I'm working on it. I'm a hopeless optimistic person who still believes anything is possible and I do my best to always see the good in people and in every situation no matter what. I'm also very passionate, especially when it comes to talk about a subject that I really care about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I love travelling, and I feel that couchsurfing gives you a real opportunity to meet local people and to learn about their customs. Of course, visiting the most touristic places of a city is a good experience, but what is the most important for me is to have a small insight of what is underneath: the real situation of a city, or a country; to discover the place where locals meet, eat their traditional dishes, talk about the downsides and the advantages that tourists will never know about. Nothing is more valuable to me than sharing points of view and cultural differences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music, but I guess I have a slight preference for Rock from the 60's-70's such as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez. I also love French music, and dance music when I go out.
My favorite type is deep movies. The kind of movies that really makes you reflect upon it afterwards, that remains into your mind several hours, days after you watch it. Or the ones that moves you so much that they leave you a sustainable souvenir. However, I really enjoy comedies once in a while.
For Books, I'm traditional: Rousseau, Diderot, Kafka, Baudelaire, Jane Austen, Laclos, Wilde, Brontë... Although these days, I mostly only read analysis about society, or psychology.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Still working on it :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hmm, I would say that I can offer a critical point of view of Paris and France in general, cheerfulness and laughter (if you like French Humour). Oh, I cook amazing crêpes :D
