Overview
About Me
I live on one of Seattle's famous floating houses (like a houseboat but doesn't move and a bit bigger). Made famous in the movie Sleepless in Seattle which was filmed very close to me.
I enjoy hot yoga and bike rides to the park, mountaineering, hiking, reading, and self-development.
I love to go on road trips outside the city to the islands and mountains of the Pacific Northwest!
I work in technology management especially making ideas come alive. My passion is helping create amazing life changing experiences.
I'm also a professor of digital analytics and teach yoga sometimes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To share a special experience and my love for the water and the city
Perhaps find some good food and conversation
Interests
Mostly I'm just Netflix and grill at the floating home and kayaking to happy hour if I have a visitor!
I probably have the majority of cooking gadgets to use (Sous Vide, KitchenAid pro mixer, etc.).
I'm a certified SCUBA instructor but don't dive a ton in the cold Puget Sound waters up here (usually sticking to July through August). If you're up for a dive buddy let me know and we can figure a dive out (Alki in West Seattle nearby, Edmonds/Mukilteo a little drive North or Hood Canal an epic dive a solid couple hours South).

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a unique perspective of living in the city and on the water. Where you can kayak to happy hour or feed the ducks.
I also can suggest places in the more fun and authentic neighborhoods of Seattle. I suggest Fremont (10 minute walk along the lake), Ballard or Capitol Hill. I mostly avoid the downtown tourist area though it's a quick bus ride/Uber (or Lyft).
