Über mich
ABOUT ME
I would describe myself as a friendly, open-minded, caring, and humourous person. I’m also a clean and tidy person. I love cooking and would love to treat you with tasty Vietnamese traditional food in my little cosy kitchen as well as be an attentive and enthusiastic student in your cooking class :) If you have anything that needs helping out, sure I will give you a hand. I’m very excited to learn about your culture, values, beliefs, religions, etc. anything that can make us understand each other better.
PHILOSOPHY
Smile always.
If "plan A" does not work, the alphabet has 25 more letters. Stay cool!
Not You or I, only WE!
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But Today is a gift, that's why it's called the Present.
Anyway, tomorrow is another day. (Gone with the wind, Margaret Mitchell)
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I came across a travel book in which the writer recommended this couchsurfing network.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never had any couchsurfing experience before, so hope to hear more from you. That's why I become a host before I can surf.
Interessen
My wish list of things to do and places to go is still very long, meeting more people, trying local food, living in that culture, learning to count from 1-10 in a foreign language etc etc
Dances: I can dance salsa and bachata, not quite well but definitely I won’t step on my partner's feet hehe, and also some ballroom dances at beginner’s level. Recently I take up zumba dance as a way to keep fit.
I love swimming, I dare not trying thrilling activities like bungee jumping or roller coaster ;)

Musik, Filme und Bücher
Music: I can’t imagine one day without music. I love sweet gentle melodies and love ballads, can’t stand rock or heavy metal.
Books: I read quite extensively: Harry Potter, Jane Eyre, Andersen and Grimm fairy tales, 1001 Arabian nights, Heart (or Cuore by Edmondo De Amicis), Twilights, Kane and Abel (by Jeffrey Archer), Gone with the wind, Life of Pi, etc.
Movies: I love movies so much and can have long conversations about movies. Recently I’ve watched Life is beautiful the 4th time and still cried when a German soldier shot dead Guido.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
In Iran: seeing Persepolis, eating Kebab and faloudeh for dessert, wearing hair cover, was called with a Farsi name Shirin (meaning "sweet")
In Hawaii: learning to dance Hula, enjoying the class with my teacher playing ukulele to cheer up everyone.
I went scuba diving for the 1st time in my life in Boracay, Phillipines and it is truly an unforgettable experience.
I've built up my own house and seen how it was completed each day. I also have a little garden on the balcony and take good care of them; seeing the flowers and trees growing, enjoying the sweet smell from them now is really relaxing and has always been great award for me.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
Learning from people is never enough, so your stories/ life experiences are always priceless for me to learn for myself.
I can teach you some Vietnamese and want to learn your language in return.
BTW, let's see in how many languages we can say 'I love you", who wins will buy the other a drink or dinner OK? ^^
