About Me

Hello, I'm Célio, law student and travelling affectionate. What brings me to couchsurfing is the the will to meet new people who also have this thing for sharing cultures and curiosities. I'm someone who likes a lot to learn and also has patience and dedication to teach . So, whether you want you need help with something or simply exchange experiences, here I am =) !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So basically, I'm on couchsurfing to meet people with new stories to tell and show you around, as I'm more likely to meet you as traveller coming to my town than as traveller myself.
So, if you ever come to Belém (or if I meet you anywhere else in the world), be sure to send me amessage, so that we can exnchange a few beers and words about pretty much anything!
(And to let me play mr. Tourist guide, which is something I like)

Interests

If I had to say what mostly interests me now would be learning new languages, I actually can't really spend any more time withouth trying to learn a bit of something everyday. That makes me listen to a lot of music from a lot of different countries (specially from those where the languages I learn are spoken) and read a lot of things.
Sports also fit into my interests, I like to play usual things more than watching and watch unsual things rather than playing (please, take brazilian standards into accoun here, I like to play football, basketball and volleyball morethan watching it whilst I'd much rather watch a curling, skying, skating broadcast than actually doing it. I hope that was understandable =P).
In another leve, I have interests for History, Philosophy and cultures, as well as I'm always fond of learning new and impressive about physics and explanations I don't understand about chemistry

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
-I can't really spend too much withouth listening to something to the same things. So I need a constant updating of my playlists. That makes me listen to different genres (specially those more famous in the countries where the languages I speak or learn are spoken). So basically I found out about reggaeton while learning spanish, I got into listening eletronic music while learning german as well as I have turned into a heavy metal fan (jokes allowed) while I learned english. So, I tell you music is not going to be a problem with me. Among my favourite bands though, I name Iron Maiden, Engenheiros do Hawaii, 2raumwohnung, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Booka Shade, Strobo (that one is from my town, listen to it YO!), Felipe Cordeiro (also from here), The Wise guys and, well, the list goes on, but from metal to classical, from reggae through indie and pop to jazz, there's probably something there I'll listen too.

Books
Another great passions. The list of books I've read goes even longer than the books I've read but I can tell you somethings:
- I've had to tuck my feet while I read "The shinning " from Stephen King
- I'm still waiting for my Hogwarts accpetance letter and the development of my wizardly powers
- I do believe that anyone who read Cornwell wouldn't be that much impressed about Game of Thrones (even though that's a pretty good series)
- I mostly read thrillers and crime investigations, but I also love books that give you new perspective about things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once cooked a full meal, once ! Hahaha. Bust the things I'm proud of was sucessfully aplying for an exchange Program in Germany, in which I'm supposed to get better at german.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can teach hosts interesting things about brazilian history in general and also about my city's history throughout the ages.
Other than that I'd love to share what I know about portuguese, german and english. If possible, I'd like to learn spanish and norwegian ( and russian, french and pretty much everything out there that catches my attention).
I also have nice stories about nights out with my friends (the pool party day, well, you've to hear that one =P) and from the places I've visited. Stories I'm willing to share =).The biggest thing I can share with people though is a traditional Brazilian experience. I don't really master the hole in the wall plces in my town and I'm not that accquainted with ALL touristic spots in my town, but I can take you out, I can show you how a regular brazilian guys lives and make sure you have a good time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a curious guy, so I'm willing to learn from people who want to teach me. I'm also a cool out going brazilian who takes the well homoured brazilian vibe wherever he goes.

Countries I’ve Visited
