ABOUT ME

While I'm very artistic, my head is not in the clouds - I'm very practical and down to earth. I've studied criminal justice but found my true calling in sewing wonderful crazy artsy bags/purses/totes and other cute stuff. I pay my bills by cleaning houses and I love that job b/c it gives me freedom and I'm kinda my own boss.
I'm a bit of a crazy cat lady, I voulenteer at a local humane society, but I promise I'm fun and adorable about it.
For the last few years I've been stuck in a small town, going stir crazy, but now Im back in my hometown of Ljubljana and very excited to meet travelers from all around the world!
Obviously I love to travel, try to do it at least once a year and still have so many places I want to visit. I'm used to traveling on my own, am very independant, confident and assertive, so I don't need anyone to take care of me or hold my hand. I do enjoy spending time with my hosts or other people I meet via CS. I would appreciate it a lot if you showed me around your or any other cool neighborhood...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just joined CS, but I've "hosted" and "surfed" a lot already, just very informally - I've let quite a lot of weary travelers sleep on my couch and air matresses and I've gotten amazing hospitality from others in return. I recently came across the website and I think it's a great idea!
I would be more than pleased to show travellers around my small country and other close-by areas - Venice, Vienna, Budapest, Zagreb,....

Interests

I love sewing, it's my newfound passion and sort of my occupation these days. I'm into fashion, arts, and every other creative artsy craftsy stuff.
I volunteer with the local society for prevention of cruelty to animals, so I have a lot of foster cats and 4 of my own. (told you before ... crazy cat lady ;) but really really adorable about it, I promise) ... uhm, I guess by now you've realized ... I love cats, A LOT. :)

I also love traveling and discovering new places; I especially adore the big cities - I like nice nature sceneries just fine, but I'm more of a city person.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm all over the place regarding music - I really like old rock from the 60s and 70s, I love dancing to 80s pop music and I enjoy some of the current dance beats ... basically, if I can dance to it, I like it!
I don't really watch movies, I much more enjoy shows. I'm currently obsessed with Mad Men, but I'll watch anything from soapy musical stuff like Nashville to great and not so great comedies (just now rewatching That 70s show- how good was that :))
Most of my reading these days consists of sewing tutorials and animal care pamphlets, but I don't suppose that counts as literature. :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think traveling on your own is one of the best gifts you can give yourself... so I try to do you as often as I can!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm inspired by new experiences so I want to try to meet as many new people, see as many new things as possible.

I can teach you some sewing basics and other crafsty stuff, also I can tell/show/share how to care for your cats so they can live a long and happy life.

My french is a bit rusty these days, so I wouldn't mind a refresher course ;)
Also, I could really use a knitting lesson!
