I'm a 25 (b.1989) year old girl living in Reykjavík, Iceland. I finished my bachelor degree in fine arts two years ago (2013) in spring. One semester of six I spent living in Edinburgh and attended Edinburgh College of Art. Since I graduated I have been working as a kindergarten teacher in town and working on my art in my own time too. I'm quite outgoing and even though I'm shy people usually can't tell because I babble.. a lot. I'm openminded and always love meeting new people. Friends and family are more important to me than anything else. I love travelling, seeing new things and experience something unexpected. I'm quite careful in general though and very afraid of heights so I have to admit that I'm no daredevil. I like activities that revolve less around speed, heights and adrenaline, but it's always fun to try new things. Food and drinks is always a good thing to go by whilst travelling. I love trying local food, something new and/or different - and showing people what's good back home. This is probably already too long. Feel free to contact me for any questions that might come up.

I had already travelled to quite many places before but from September 2014 to June 2015 I was on my biggest adventure (yet). I visited 22 countries in 9 months. 5 out of 7 continents (North & South America, Europe, Asia and Australia), 2 of which previously visited. I was travelling mostly on my own, but I really loved meeting new people along the way - locals and other travellers. Meeting people and making new friends is always great.

I love meeting new people and I've met some great people through Couchsurfing before. Couchsurfing is a great way to get in touch with locals, get various advices and ideas, a way to experience the place differently than you would otherwise. I'll happily contribute even though I can't host anyone at this moment. Get in touch if you need anyone to hang out or just to get some simple recommendations about Iceland.
