Hi, I'm Marco, a 23 year old student that grew up in Tasmania but recently moved to Canberra to study. I have traveled to 48 countries to date and particularly love exploring less traveled places that combine nature and history. In my spare time I enjoy rock climbing, specifically bouldering, go hiking and practice my languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best travel experiences overseas have always been due to the local friends that I have met. I love meeting new people and hearing their perspectives and insight into where they live. Interacting with locals in depth provides a much more memorable experience than traveling in a more transitory manner.

Interests

I love the outdoors. When I was younger I spent a lot of time hiking but over time became much more interested in rock climbing, the hobby that now consumes most of my time when I'm not travelling.
