About Me

Born in Brazil, raised in Rio de Janeiro but at the moment Lisbon is my home. I hosted before but recently my boyfriend and I decided to host couchsurfers together, looking for some interesting/fun/weird people to share a bit of our lives with and entertain us. We are both architects so we can be super boring sometimes. Please also read 'My home' tab. We don't accept more than 1 guest and also last-minute requests.

Besides working as an architect I enjoy spending my free time in music concerts, theater, art galleries, hiking outdoor/nature, doing yoga, camping, watching movies/series, eating well, being warm, and having interesting chats with a cold beer. I also enjoy doing handmade stuff in general, used to draw/paint, have done a few carpentry works, sawing, and ceramics.

I'm not a health freak (yet), I can eat frozen food and drink coke sometimes, but I enjoy eating quality food, organic whenever is po$$ible, and taking care of my body, mentally and physically. I care about the planet and I'm a newbie vegetarian for the past 4 years :). I also can consider myself a feminist, a science believer, and a psychology enthusiast.

Love traveling and changing perspectives through this movement. I enjoy trying to understand cities in a social and urbanistic way and I usually try to escape the tourist stuff. I don't like crowded places and when I'm traveling I rather just walk around, have some good local food, visit the supermarket and connect with people in a slower rhythm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because with previous experiences I had (both hosting and being a host), I got a really special and rare feeling that the world is small and we are all here together, looking for the same things, wanting to feel connected. I meet inspiring people through Couchsurfing, and learned new things in each meeting I had. That's priceless and is why I'm here.

Music, Movies, and Books

*MOVIES*
One of the things I most enjoy is watching a good movie. Those are some of my favorite directors:
Hilton Lacerda | Lars von Trier | Sofia Coppola| Paolo Sorrentino| Almodovar | Stanley Kubrick | David Lynch | Michel Gondry | Charlie Kaufman | Alejandro Jodorowsky

*SERIES*
Twin Peaks | The office | Broad city | high maintenance | Handmaid`s Tale | Planet Earth

*MUSIC*
I think is easier to say what I dont really enjoy. I'm not really into metal and some havier rock, but I think I enjoy every type of music otherwise, really depends of the song itself tho... I love going to music festivals, love world music, usually more into calm music, I enjoy Jazz, Classic, Bossa Nova, MPB , Indie, but also love a party mood sometimes, I listen to eletronic, hiphop, funk, etc.

*BOOKS*
Catching the Big Fish by David Lynch
The Stranger by Albert Camus
Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter by Mario Vargas Llosa
Siddharta by Hermann Hesse
Patty Smith
Women Who Run with the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living for a semester in a very small Mormon town, somewhere in the Nevada desert really changed my mind set. Doing all the country stuff.

Hitch hiking all over New Zealand and doing some multi-day hikes.

Sleeping outdoor under the open sky in Fraser Island, Austrália.

Going to Vipassana (Meditation retreat)

Building a public space in wood stucture in Rijeka, Croatia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good with the architecture programs I need to use, is not so useful if you are not an architect, but I always can teach something about my field and give some aesthetics tips.

I speak Portuguese and I would be happy to teach some.

I also taught how to bake my famous home made granola , in some of my previous Couchsurfing experiences I had.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could share a nice meal, life experience and some help with the house.
