About Me

Everything regarding music touches me. I can say I live through music. I also like history, literature, politics, and a good cold blonde beer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I believe we can experience different things while traveling with young people around the world. It is so boring to travel always as a tourist. I want to practice my skills of living, I want to learn a new language and I want to unite young people around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite bands: Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, Stones, Who, Dylan, Smiths, Caetano Veloso, Otis Reeding, and much more.

My favorite movies: Forrest Gump; The Big Lebowski; Psycho; The Man Who Wasn't There; The Dreamers; and much more.

Favorite books: On the Road, The Metamorphosis; The Hunchback of Notre Dame; O Cortiço; Robinson Crusoe; Nausea...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled around France playing with my band during three weeks. I left home on the day of my birthday and returned 30 years older after this experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a teacher I have to say that my classes, always, at some point, end up talking about culture, differences and challenges.

Learning is also an everyday activity for me. Two days ago I asked to one of my 6 years old students: what do you think that could make a better world? He answered: people could quit using cars so much. I certainly learned something from this - even if you're a kid you can learn, you can change.

I try to share good experiences I had and also good things about my culture (such as music!!)
