About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a visual artist currently working full-time at an international school in Havana. I have an on-going animation project that I can't seem to get back to because of so much work!!

Conversation is one of my favourite things to do, provided of course, that I find the person/s interesting or if there is chemistry.

I love foreign languages and if it were up to me I'd be learning them all :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent New Year's eve in New York City with my boyfriend Raymel and we stayed in Brooklyn thanks to a guy from couch surfing who I now feel awkward just calling 'a guy'. It was a great experience and I guess we all got along so well that we pretty much outstayed our visit.
Now we're back and I am trying to sort out how I can host, which is tricky in my country, but we'll see.

Interests

I love reading good novels, I love films and sitcoms. I absolutely love languages and meeting people from around the world. I'm a total 'foodie' so I enjoy trying things I've never eaten before, like unusual ice cream flavors or that fried ice cream I recently had for the first time.
Something I really enjoy is making dinner with friends, or gathering in someone's house to hang out, play charades or listen to music . I LOVE theme parks, although I haven't bee to many.

I enjoy contemporary art a lot, but I would give up that and any art for Claude Monet's water lilies and Lautrec's women.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book so far was "White Teeth" by Zadie Smith. I had never enjoyed a book so much. I love the way the author differentiates the characters' slang and accent and I was absolutely captivated by the story, which might be shocking to many as it is something rather ordinary...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saved a 2 day born kitten I found on the street (eyes still wideshut) and I fed him for weeks with a dropper and formula until he was mature enough to not require that type of care.
I didn't keep it though because I have a serialkiller dashhound who HATES small little creatures, especially cute ones. :-(
