Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I moved to Curitiba, a big city in Southern Brazil, to do my graduation. During the period I was in college I didn't have much time to travel or know other places, and Couchsurfing was a great way to be in contact with other cultures and people from different backgrounds. I first had the opportunity to host surfers during the World Cup in 2014, when many people from many different countries came to visit Brazil and Curitiba. Ever since, I've had some pleasant experiences with CS. Culture exchange can be very enriching and the point of view of a local usually gives you a whole new perspective of the place you're visiting.
Since the end of 2018, I live in Jaraguá do Sul, a mid-sized city in the state of Santa Catarina. I'm currently working full time during the week, but I'm usually available on weekends to show up the region and hang out.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Hundred Years of Solitude, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez; The Catcher in the Rye, by JD Salinger; Gulliver Travels, by Jonathan Swift, short stories by Chekhov and by Machado de Assis.
Hard to say my favorite movies but certainly The Live of Others and Les Invasions Barbares would be in the list..
My music preferences are quite ecletic when I am learning a different language, but my favorite genres are more related to rock, like alternative rock, pop rock and indie. I really enjoy Coldplay, Kodaline, Semisonic, Linkin Park, the German band Juli and Brazilian band Skank.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I backpacked in New Zealand during 2 months and I could do some amazing trekkings, like Milford Track, with some breathtaking views of Fiordland and the alpine landscapes of South Island..

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some of my travel experiences, some Brazilian typical food, cultural aspects of Brazil, teach some Portuguese words.

Countries I’ve Visited
