ABOUT ME

My name's Alessandro. I'm a 19-year-old guy from the Netherlands. My father's Italian, hence the name.

I love reading, writing, listening to/making music, taking walks and being in a good mood.

Interests

As I said, I spend a lot of my time reading and writing for one. When I read, I mostly read Murakami, Kafka, Camus and Gaiman. I haven't really found any other novelists whose books I love to read. I also read comicbooks, including Sandman, Hellblazer, Batman, Y: The Last Man and Books of Magic.

I attempt to write short stories often but I mostly don't really get further than the first paragraph. I have ideas and concepts in my head but I find it hard to turn them into actual stories that make sense.

Besides shortstory-attempts I write songs, which directly connects to the "making music" part. I write a lot of songs but mostly end up never recording them, which is often because I'm too insecure to do so. This is one of the things I'd like to change about myself, though.

I like light-hearted conversational topics about i.e. music, weather, cinema and news. I'm also up for more "complicated" conversations once in a while though, like comparing each other's philosophies and thoughts on controversial topics and life and all that jazz. Though I don't like to "argue" or really push my opinion onto someone else. I just like to compare.
