About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm gentle, friendly nice man and easygoing guy. I'm a little shy, but I like good company, good talk, and after while I can be a great party partner. Love adventure, hiking, laughing, cooking, and travel. One day I will travel the whole world! Maybe I can use the same friendly people that I had already hosted, to host me back... lol
I used to 1 mile or less from Downtown in Chicago, the Windy City, you will find a lot of things to do here and you can count me in... I really like to do tourism here, this city is amazing you can always find something new to do here, doesn't matter how long you plan to stay. FYI, I'm Brazilian and when I am there, I live less then 300m from the beach. I love Brazil, you can visit me out there btw.
Now, I am living in La Plata, which is a beautiful city close to Buenos Aires. The city has great place to visit, such as museums, bars, parks and more. The people and the weather are great all the time. The food may cause a good experience.
I went in a couple countries like Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, USA, and Brazil, of course, as a backpacker by myself or with friends. As I said before, I love traveling to anywhere that I can go, and I believe that the company can make all the difference on it. I love to discover new cities, peoples and cultures which I can grow as a human being by giving and receiving the knowledge that I can get from the others and returning it to the others. I have a weird wish that all the knowledge, experiences, emotions and dreams should be diversified and multiplied to the word. I like to share the things about my country, my culture and my lifestyle. I love to make new friends. On the other hand, I always enjoyed helping other people, that one kind of the reasons that I'm in a Health Science, specifically, I am a Senior in Oncology.
I will read and answer all the requests and messages, as fast as I can.
So, how about yourself?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's the best way to save money, meet new people, and enjoy the local culture. Make new friends and break that ice that we have about other countries/cultures and spend a good time together. Visiting a city with a local make all the difference, because they can show the city and the culture better than any book guide or someone who you pay for.
Actually visit a city with their point of view is so much better. I remembered when I went in Santiago, Chile, and the couple that I CS in, showed me the city in a particular way, with their eye and perspective...so much passion and love for their city that made me love that trip. And if I could share the city/culture that I live at least with the half of the love/passion and joy that the couple did form me, I'll be very glad and the person who I'm CS too.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music, I am very eclectic; about movies, depend on my mood, and books, any kind of mystery, syfy, and ficcion/adventure. I really like of Stephen King and Sidney Sheldon. I will not talk about R.R.Tolkien, Agatha Christie ("Ten Little Niggers" DUUUDE..PLEASE!!!), Mario Puzzo or Sir Conan Doyle because they are above any kind of writer. My first book that I fell in love was "Sophie's World". Have you read that? This book can blow or mind. I am reading now "When dogs cry" by Markus Zusak.
And of course I love my Brazilian writers. We have a beautiful culture on this part. As any book that is related to an determined country is divided by its region and regionalism, because the authors are trying to give to the reader a better background about a determined thing, in Brazil we have the same thing, and I admit that one of my favorite works is Vidas Secas, or Barren Lives in English, by Graciliano Ramos. This book is a perfect demonstration of the quality of Brazilian authors, rich in detail and emotion. If ever you have the opportunity to choose a book from Brazil, read Barren Lives. Satisfaction guaranteed. I swear.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skiing in Santiago. Visit the Vineyard Valley of San Juan in Argentina. Skydiving in Chicago. Hiking and camping at the Boulder County Fairgrounds.
Teach, Learn, Share
