Hi Everyone, I'm David from Hungary (born and raised in Slovakia), currently living and attending an exchange year of college in Hartford, CT, USA. After finishing my year in the US and traveling around I'm wrapping up my bachelor's studies back in Budapest, Hungary where I major in biology. I'm an outdoorsy, cheerful, open-minded person who loves to be surrounded by people. I love getting to know people from all over the world and trying new things. My all-time favourite sport is skiing, especially free-style skiing on natural terrain. My new passion is scuba diving!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I tried Couchsurfing the first time while I was traveling in Mexico with a friend recently and it turned out to be one of the most fun experiences I've ever done. I like getting to know poeple from all over the planet so couchsurfing is a great opportunity to see a new place through the eyes of a local, not to mention the fact that you can actually meet likeminded locals and travelers which is absolutely amazing . I also like all sorts of unconventional ways of traveling and couchsurfing definitely qualifies. I wanna be a true backpacker and I think without getting to know locals it definitely wouldn't be the same.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving near the shores in Cozumel, Mexico at the coral reefs will be something I will never forget. What an unbelievably diverse marine life!
Another thing I enjoyed a lot is jumping off of some 7m high cliffs into the sea in Malta.
