About Me
ABOUT ME
I moved to Berlin in 2011. It's a great city with a lot of things to see and do. There are also a lot of places in Berlin that I don't know or haven't seen yet. I love just to walk through the city and find new and interesting things and places.
I can give you hundred ideas how to spend the day in Berlin and recommendations for museums (sadly not much about art museums). As a historian I am specialized in the history of the Berlin Wall, the GDR, nationalsocialism and concentration camps. But I have of course more topics that I am interested in and like to talk about.
I prefer a night of drinking beers and having a good chat at home or at a bar over a night of clubbing (exception: Social Dance Events Lindy Hop, Swing). So if you wish to get to know the Berlin nightlife I might be the wrong host for you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
to get to know locals and people of all kind.
I already hosted some friends of friends and had good experiences with that.
Interests
I'm interested in films (I own a subscription ticket and can go the arthouse cinema as often as I want to) and travelling, meeting people and learning about their cultural traditions.
I am even part of the Foodsharing community in Berlin and therefore interested in sustainability and cooking (and can probably offer guests free food).
