I mainly grew up in Mauritius from a Chinese family. However, I never learned to speak Cantonese but rather learned the local language which is Creole. My family immigrated to Canada when I was 14. I graduated University in 2014. I now live by myself on the south shore of Montreal and trying to enjoy life to its fullest.

I have much more to say about myself and it would be really fun to meet up and exchange stories about our background and different cultures.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

[SURFING]
I've heard great things about couch surfing where you can meet people and learn about the local culture. I never really had the courage to try it out before but I am taking this opportunity to go out of my comfort zone :)

[HOSTING]
After a really great couch surfing experience in NYC, I decided it would be a really fun way to meet people around the world. I recently got a new job this year so my vacation and travelling time will definitely be limited. In that spirit, I reached the conclusion that instead of visiting the world this year, I would be bringing the world to my place.

兴趣

[TRAVELLING]
I usually have traveled with friends or family. However, with couch surfing, I am starting to enjoy travelling solo. It is always amazing to learn about other cultures and customs of different countries.

[SPORTS]
I grew up watching a lot of soccer/football with my dad and I developed a big interest in the sport. I mainly follow the English Premier League. My favorite football team is Arsenal FC. We may not always be doing so hot but that is the life of a fan. I am not the greatest of athletes but I do enjoy playing soccer when I can ( with friends or random pick ups).

I recently have been playing badminton with my friends and I have been really enjoying double games. I tend to think I play on a decent amateur level ( still need to work on those clears and smashes)

I am looking forward to improve myself in Brazilian jujitsu. I am still a white belt slowly learning the ropes of grappling.

[GAMING]
I have a group of friends with whom I enjoy playing both board games and video games. If you have any board games and are willing to play with me, I would be really happy to try it with you.

[PHILOSOPHY]
I believe we all experiences different level of challenges in life and sometimes, we also need to allow ourselves to pause and get a break. However, I believe that you are also responsible for your own happiness and should strive to work on bettering yourself. Couch surfing have helped me in the past to rediscover the many joys of life!

I am currently learning Spanish on my own and learning how to type properly using the keyboard!
