I'm 36, from Ireland. I’m travelling in China and Taiwan to learn Mandarin Chinese, as my wife is Chinese. We met in USA where she still lives and works while I travel around having fun :)

I really want to meet people and make friends in Shanghai, practise my language, and just explore. I will be here until May 13.

I am a neuroscientist/bioengineer who mostly works in academia, i just completed a postdoctoral position in MIT. I'm friendly and outgoing and love to meet new people. I have a big passion for reading, and also many kinds of music and movies. I have done all sorts of travel, including teaching English in Vietnam for one year and volunteer work in India and Nepal. I also love to be active and am mainly into hiking, yoga, swimming and cycling. Always on the hunt for new experiences! Some more loves -> asian food (spicy!), chess, meditation, beers, nature, graphic novels, building things, coffee and green tea
