CURRENT MISSION
Truly to be hung up on the US culture.
ABOUT ME
Hello there!
My name is SangHun Park, or Colin Park which is my Eng name.
I was born, grown up in South Korea, and I applied a internship program which is given to Korea Young Uni Students. and then I am here!.
As to my US life, after studying English in San-Diego for 4 months, I am currently living in DC while doing internship in Arts Organization.
Probably I am going to go back to Korea in 6 months, which would be mid of Feb 2015.
Since I went on Uni, I traveled few countries to learn different culture & custom by bumping into their environment, with which I was able to experience many different things and it has made me feel exciting and results in coming up with a different way to learn the others through this couchsurfing.
I am still figuring out what I truly want to do, want to be in future. And so far, I want to be merchant on street. As to the reason of this, chances are that I want to feel the lives where I could feel that energy when I am in trade between people in person. Yeah, I really respect people who are involved in this kind of jobs, going through real life everyday.
PHILOSOPHY
Experience! That't the way you would learn about your life.
I think I am pretty ready to accept the different things, even might be rather embarrassed to me when it really happen. I mean I personally believe the one who really get respect from others is the one who have learn every different things via many experiences as much as you can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Honestly I haven't used this before yet, however I would say I know pretty much about this, because my friend told me about this with very exciting story. And I also think my experience in Australia when traveling here and there while staying at backpackers many times, helps me understand how to associate and respect each other. I tend to be a considerate and pretty much ready to share different culture. Lastly, I really hope to be host when I get back my home to others.
Interests
I love traveling & meeting new people to share ideas, especially about how to enjoy their lives. You know what, I have a plan to make a story book about the way people enjoy their lives. I want to wrote down about the people that I met in US, how to enjoy themselves. I might be going to ask you about your story to be relayed to my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I was grown up pretty much with the Rom-com movie, however I am really into "Sherlock" from English, Gotham recently released in US too.
When it comes to the music, I used to like almost every genre besides heavy metal, but I love listening jazz music these days.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After arriving at US, some often asked me about my military life in JSA, Joint Security Area. It's demilitarized zone where I could watch and stand against North Korean Army. Yeah, It was truly impressive that I should aim a gun to them even though they looked really pretty much same as me.
And what about my working holiday story, which is given to korean young students to go abroad with certain visa type to work as well as traveling for a year. I did work in Restaurant and moved different cities and met brilliant people, helped me in need. Wow, that's so amazing.
And lastly, here I am. I have been thinking how could I enjoy myself here in US. and here is the thing that i found, to get better chance to experience different things, I started playing living statue, I played it in many different festivals and public places. and finally I made my dream came true, I went to time square! with the concept of silver-man. and I heard that a girl said" I saw that guy in washington!". it has my jaws dropped.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to share my life story, which would be a story of really normal and common young Korean students. I think it would worth sharing this with you if you are not familiar with Korean issue. And as to Food, I have few recipes how to make Korean food. Sometimes I serve the Korean food to my co workers from very spicy one to less spicy^^. He truly loved that.
And if you do not mind, I also want to listen who are you, what's your way to enjoy yourself.
