Hi!

I am Timea from Hungary and well I am kind of addicted to many things. For example I can't live without tea, I need lot of tea every day for survival and I would also die without my morning coffee. I am also a cookie and chocolate addict, I enjoy baking brownies, muffins, cookies, biscuits and so on and I love to share them too. It's really good to see other people enjoying them as much as I do. :) Strangely enough I am not fat as a pig (yet), I think mostly because I also love sports, for example running, swimming, martial arts, football or just running on stairs because I hate elevators. :D Actually I am not good at just sitting still, I am doing all kind of weird moving around on my chair during my work too, doing some pseudo yoga poses and so on. So maybe I am addicted to moving too. I need to move forward at life too. Leave the past behind again and again, start something new, and the only reason I don't burn down every bridges behind me because there are people I am too attached to.

I am a great fan of British drama series and books (Amazing that both the world of Harry Potter and Middle Earth came from there, not to mention Neil Gaiman, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens etc.), earl grey, short bread and well of the United Kingdom itself too. I have been there three times already, although only in East-England. I really hope to travel around more there and explore.

I also love East-Asian history and culture (+ tea and food of course, as well as martial arts :D), especialy Japan and China, I even tried to learn Japanese and Chinese. I also managed to live in China for a while with a scholarship and visit Japan too at that time. I really-really wish to visit Japan at the time of the dawn of the samurai age (in a body of Japanese man of course, otherwise it would be a bit of, well, uncomfortable...) and honestly I just want to be able to travel through time and space freely. With or without the Doctor (but I prefer with). Actually I have a watch necklace and sometimes it makes me wonder...

I love to watch series (not just British ones, but admit it: they are the best), movies, dramas, musicals, reading books, walk around and explore, staring at sunflowers, trying to keep orchids alive, petting cats and dogs etc.

I think I should stop here, because you already must think I am weird (and you are right of course) and I don't want to scare you away. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and I think it is even more fun if I can also make friends at the same time, or just get to know local people and be able to find out more about the place I am visiting through them.

Interests

Travelling, exploring, getting lost and find something unexpected, photography, reading, watching movies etc. I also love theatre, watching dramas and musicals too and I am also a great fan of both rock and classical music. I know, this is a bit of strange combination. :D

Music, Movies, and Books

I have way too many favorite books, but anything from Khaled Hosseini, The Lord of the Rings, or the Song of Ice and Fire series are definitely among them.

The same goes for the movies and series, I have lot of favorite: for example anything from Christopher Nolan and Martin Scorsese, the Walk the line, Intouchables, Sherlock, Outlander, Rome, Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders, The Hour etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in China for 10 and a half months studying mandarin Chinese and travelling around quite a lot. During that time I also had the chance to visit Japan which were honestly the best days of my life.

I also love to learn languages, although I have less and less time for it. (I hate to be a grownup, seriously)
