About Me

ABOUT ME

(FYI I'll be in Italy in January in February, so not available to meet up)

I'm a french-canadian student living in Montreal. I'm currently studying social sciences and looking forward to becoming a teacher.
I work part-time in a running specialty store, which helped me learn a LOT about running in general, human biomechanics and what makes a great runnning shoe for you!
I am an open-minded person who enjoys learning and discovering new things.

I can't host but it will be a pleasure for me to guide you around the most fun city in Canada! just send me a message and we'll arrange a meetup :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I believe the best to discover a new country is to meet people from this new place! I wanna discover the world in the least possible "tourist" way: I am genuinely interested in how societies arounds the world live and in their citizens' unique experience and knowledge.
I also believe that couchsurfing is a wonderful tool to make travelling more accessible to less privilieged travellers: money shouldn't be a barrier in discovering the world.
I am excited to meet new people from all around the world :)

Interests

I love sports! I currently play Roller Derby with Montreal Roller Derby... you should check it out ;) I have played many teams sports like basketball, baseball and flag-football and I have also enjoyed snowboarding. I am a runner and I ran my first half-marathon in september 2014, in montreal.

I love history, sociology and pretty much all social sciences! my passion of traveling comes a lot from my interest of the past, present and future of society and their overall evolutions. I love discovering new cultures and broadening my horizons.

I follow closely the political news and am a political activist for many causes that are close to my heart: feminism, LGBTQA*rights, social equality and many more.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music! from rock to pop, to classical to metal, from indie to rap! my favorite bands/singers would be Muse, Lady Gaga, Florence and the Machine, Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Pink Floyd, Stromae, Ed sheeran & Of Monsters and Mens... but this is a very short list!

movies... V for Vendetta, Little Miss Sunshine, all the Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, American Beauty, Django Unchained.

Books: all of Dan Brown, the Harry Potters, 1984 and Animals Farm by George Orwell, Brave New World, the Hunger Games, the Count of Monte-Cristo and many, many, many, many more......

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I shaved my head when I was 16! It was totally a impulsive, crazy act but I never regretted it. I made me rethink my visions of beauty, feminity and who I am overall. I think it's a great way to give yourself a new start. I have been loving short hair ever since.

Teach, Learn, Share

French is my first language and I'll be happy to help you learn a bit of this very complicated language.
I can also tell you all the secrets about Canada... cause we got some!

I am young and have more things to discover than I have learned yet, but my open mind and my unfailling need of learning and sharing makes me a great conversation partner. I love discussing about all and nothing and I think it's the best way to learn in this world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My passion about learning and my extensive knowledge about running, Canada, feminism, the french language and Roller Derby! oh and real maple syrup!
