Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See more of the world, and meet more of the people in it.
ABOUT ME
I'm a computer scientist, currently living in Ghent. I am what people call a geek and enjoy Science-Fiction, reading books and playing videogames. I'm also a health freak and love sports and healthy food. I work out at the gym, am a snowboard teacher and really enjoy longboarding as well. I drive a small Honda Monkey motorcycle (fake replica) and love to tour around with it. Some people have called me shy, but I am just a really relaxed person.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not a very materialistic person. I like gadgets and tools that give me freedom (phone, gps, motor) but I would never buy a sweater because it has a certain brand logo on it. I value my life through experiences. How much I've seen in the world, how many cuisines I've enjoyed, how many cultures and people I've met. That's why I enjoy spending the little money I have on traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite book is "the Alchemist" by Paul Coehlo, it's a very interesting and philosophical story about a character I can heavily relate to. I'm a big fan of the Lord of the rings and hobbit books and movies as well as other fantasy and science fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most beautiful archeology I have seen was Ephesus, Turkey. I had just finished a paper on Roman culture about death and burial and I really enjoyed seeing a lot of evidence about the things I've come across while studying the subject.
The most special natural thing I have witnessed was whale watching in Boston. I saw a whale and its calf breach the surface mutliple times from close by.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: as a computer science student I have a broad knowledge and perspective about the future of technology. (robotics, cyborgs, self-driving cars) and read a lot about them.
Learn: Languages, culture, cooking local cuisine, ...
