About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting to become Who I need to be. Probably a shepherd in Chile.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really want to make the most of my CS experience. I've already attended some CS events and am planning on attending a lot more, I'm very glad to host people in my appartment and to show them around as I deeply like Caen and Normandy in general, and I very much like to couchsurf around, in France or mostly abroad !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been attending a few couchsurfing events in both France and China, I met couchsurfers and went away for a day, I hosted a few persons in my flat in Caen (France), and I've stayed with a few people when I was traveling with my friends or my mother.
As every other members, I love meeting new people and visit, travel around or have passionate conversation over a drink! I also love getting to know how people live outside of my country, so it's always a pleasure to stay with a nice family!

Interests

Like almost every profile i've seen so far... I'm interested in just about anything !

Thing is, I love to hear people talk about what they like, their passions, their obsessions, their fears...

That's how I learnt stuff about IT, mythology, metal and rock music, history and politics, K Pop, TV series, travels...
These days I'm particularly into : Crochet (especially amigurumi), traditional Irish music, learning Japanese, and 3D printing :)

Oh, and of course, for I lived there for three years and it's so different, crazy and mind blowing in so many ways, I'm still very much interested in China, Shanghai, East Asia and its culture in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hard to list but let's pick 3 of each for this spring :

Music : - Irish tunes. I am not yet really familiar with super famous composers and musicians like Kevin Burke and such, so I cannot go into specifics, but I am trying to strenthen my game, so I could play during sessions ! I have started a few years ago, but I haven't been serious enough until now.
- French Revolutionary songs
- Coldplay. The intemporal love : when you have lived so far away from home and never feel like you really belong anywhere like I do sometimes, you need some comforting habits :-)

Movies : - Legally Blond. This movie is pure genius and fun ! Ok, you probably need to be a girl, and blond, to get all its depth and power. But if so, go girl! Us blond need to stick together!
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I love this movie, but I can never remember why.
- Veronica Mars. It's not exactly a movie, but a great TV show. Not only do I love the characters and values they carry, but more practically it's the only show I could find fully dubbed and subtitled in German, and it helps a lot for listening comprehension!

Books : - of course, Harry Potter. Here again, a double gain : I love the story and I bought the Chinese version to practice. My first Chinese book!
- Some biography of Gandhi I'm reading right now, it's very interesting to see the path of a legend, and realise he was just a human trying his best to abide by his beliefs.
- Classic Chinese Stories and Chinese Proverbs Stories, two books I am reading to have a better understanding of the Chinese culture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can now teach people how to crochet ! Otherwise, I am an avid language learner, so I could teach you a bit of French, English or Chinese maybe. We could play some Irish music together (although I might need someone to lend me a fiddle^^)
I also like origami, I could teach you if you are a beginner, and otherwise I still have a lot to learn from others !
