My name is Irene and basically I am a girl that tries not to take things too serious. Currently based in Madrid.
Travelbug. As soon as I have vacation, I'm on the road.

I finished my degree a couple of years ago and I'm now working as a Business Consultant. I've lived in Mannheim, Germany, for two years and it was a great experience that made me start on CS.
I'm a friendly girl, open minded, talkative and sportive! I love meeting people from all over the world and maybe the most important thing: I never get tired of LEARNING.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

People are great. That's the thing and that's enough. Getting to know a city entails getting to know the people. I like the whole idea of meeting people from all over the world , no money just people , seeing the world thorugh eyes of non-tourists.
I just don't know. I'm always eager to listen stories and stories live in people. That's it.
I have to travel quite a lot due to work but if I'm in town, I'll be happy to share a beer (and a couch) with you, as a way of bringing the world to my home.

MUSIC
My favorite music is classic rock and alternative music. Some of my favorite groups/singers are ACDC, Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, Police, REM, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, The Strokes, Bruce Springsteen, Mumford & Sons... and the list goes to infinite!
There is no place in the world like a music fest (if you stay with me and there's a concert/music fest we can go to, sure we'll make it to go).

MOVIES
If I could only watch a single movie for the rest of my life I'll watch Big Fish or Trainspotting.

TV SERIES
I am a BINGER!!! It is not still a widely used word so, in other terms: addicted to series! Game of Thrones, the Wire, the Soprano, Friends, Twin Peaks...

BOOKS
And of course BOOKS. I love Latin American and English literature, but I don't refuse to read almost anything! Schopenhauer, Shakespeare, Hemingway, Salinger, Wells, García Márquez, Agatha Christie.... and a reaaaally long list!

But the thing that I enjoy most about all of this is talking with people about it, sharing opinions and feelings and making the experience even more interesting.
