About Me

Judging from what I have heard from my close relatives and intimate friends, I think what I can offer is particularly my buoyant mood, friendly attitude, outgoing personality and boundless enthusiasm to try new things I have never experienced before. I am easy to talk to, can discuss various subjects and am open to adventurous ideas. I am more of a follower than a leader, but it depends on a situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I am a keen fan of foreign languages, especially English and German, and I am comfortable with conversing with foreigners, I view this as an excellent opportunity to broaden my horizons in terms of a cultural understanding, talk to a wide range of like-minded people with diverse personalities, make new friends and develop as an individual, both mentally and intellectually. One of the biggest draws of this project is the mysterious aspect when you initially encounter a foreign person (only knowing snippets of information which are found on couchsurfing), soon after turning into a good friend. For the most part I am looking foward to meeting new people and interacting with them. Last but not least, exploring the surroundings of my host is also a thing I am greatly attracted to.

Interests

All kinds of sports - in particular cross-country skiing (I was doing it for 8 years), football, floorball and others. I have been working out intensively for roughly 2 years now - that also relates to my interest in a healthy lifestyle. Learning languages (there is no time left during working days now due to the demanding studies at the medicine university). I also played chess for a while. I like to go clubbing every now and then as a way of getting out of a daily rut. Whenever I have some free time left, I enjoy playing a few games on the computer

Music, Movies, and Books

Most of the time I listen to DnB, dubstep and remixes these days. Nonetheless, it does not necessarily mean that my music taste revolves only around these genres. I simply listen to a mixture of diverse songs that I find pleasing. I have no reservations about one's taste in music whatsoever. My favorite book in English, for example, is "The Godfather" or "The Hobbit". Most favourite movie would be Forrest Gump, Bourne film series and The Pianist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As part of our medicine programme in the first grade, I have participated in dissection which is a medical practise used in the teaching of anatomy. Repulsive as it might sound, it was a very worthwhile experience through which I have gained a fascinating insight into the internal structure of human bodies and broadened my understanding of its functions. I might tell you something about that in case you are interested! ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I am an attentive and sympathetic listener. Therefore, there is no problem for me to properly hear you out. Just say whatever crosses your mind. As far as sharing or learning is concerned, I can certainly teach you something about the customs and culture of the Czech Republic. Feel like talking about anything? Bring it up, I will gladly join in the conversation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my own experiences, stories and opinions on almost anything that I have some knowledge of.
