About Me

Who am I?
Well that's a hard question, I don't really know but in any case my name is Sebastian Estremo. "Estremo" is not a common name anywhere in the world, but I have heard once that it comes from Napoli, and it was a name that they put to some orphans there. I don't know if it's true or not but I like the story.
I studied geography and I did a master about Middle East studies and now I live from doing maps (I'm a cartographer), teaching languages and selling honey

Why do I do that?
Because the meaning of my life is drawing maps, travel and write about the places I visit and I think this is the easiest way to do that. I would like to be some sort of Kapuściński or Marco Polo one day.
By the way I also love learning languages particulary turkish and slavic ones, but I think that italian is the most beautiful language in the world...

My idea about traveling?
I like real experiences. I mean I like to meet people of the places I visit as they are and see their real lifes, understand their problems and know about their lifes. For me traveling must be an excelent excuse to learn more and more and after that show what I learn to the people who can't travel (that's one of the reasons I like to write)
And of course I like to taste new flavours

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to interact with people of the places I go and see what they eat or what do they like about their hometown. I consider myself a simple person who enjoys about the simple gifts of life (walking, taking a beer in some nice garden and this kind of things). And I think CS is a good oportunity for doing this.
My first experience in Cluj, Romania, was a really nice one, so after that going in a hostel started to be boring.

Interests

QUESTIONS THAT HOSTS/SURFERS USUALY DO BUT IT IS KIND OF ANNOYING TO DO
- I am NOT a vegetarian but I have no problem on eating vegetarian dishes
- I don't have any problem on walking, in fact I love to walk long distances, it would be a pleasure.
- On the other way I don't know how to cycle
- Yes I will be happy on taking a beer with you
- But no, I don't like modern night clubs. I like small bars or houses were you and your friends go where you can chat or something like this. I'm like an old man :P
