Our family is a married woman and man and a teenager. We usually have a roommate. We have a really cool backyard, one of us is an amazing gardener.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We sometimes can open our floors, couch, or backyard to folks in need depending on what we have going on in our lives. If we don't have a renter you may get a room all to yourself

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We got into this by accident when the roommates of a friend didn't want to let a couchsurfer stay so I said they could stay with us and it was a great experience.

20 plus years ago I hitchhiked all over the country, did whole Grateful Dead, Rainbow Gathering, On The Road, hippie thing. I stayed where ever I happened to be. I slept on city streets, in parks, in the woods, at rest areas, in hotel/motels, and at people's houses. Sometimes I lived somewhere for a month or so. For six months I lived in a shelter I made myself (of tree limbs and ironwood needles, a la Dan Brown)in a little hippie squat camp in an ironwood forest near a lava cliff at the edge of the Pacific Ocean on the western side of the Big Island of Hawaii. I have lived in Burlington for about 20 years.
