About Me

From September 2019 to May 2020 will not be accepting guests due to work stay at Florida.

Starting a scientific career, travelling world in the free time.

ABOUT ME
Once I decided that I want to ride a bicycle around Baltic Sea and one month later I did it. Year later I crossed Australia on a bicycle - it took me 3 months, through the dessert. Then I traveled through Mongolia with my GF on horses. I try to make one expedition per year. Recently I have finished my PhD in genomics and proteomics - now I plan to travel the world - from lab to a lab, gathering experiences.

PHILOSOPHY
...is best discussed over a beer

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I couch surfed a lot during my travels - but never with this web page. Meeting people on the spot and talking to them was enough to get invited to stay overnight.
I also hosted some people from Hong Kong, Barcelona and Italy - again through mutual friends - even before the couchsurfing.

My fist travell with official couchsurfing web was through the Senegal and Gambia.

Interests

Science – from mathematics to humanities, new experiences, travelling…

Now I work on analysis of unnatural base pairs in semi-synthetic organisms and attempting laboratory abiogenesis (making self-replicating RNA from simple chemistry, simulating the begining of life on earth).
I can spend hours talking about science and philosophy :-).

Music, Movies, and Books

From classic authors Steinbeck, K. Vonnegut and J. Irving,
but I love sci-fi / fantasy: N. Stephenson, A. Sapkowski, G.R.R. Martin, W. Gibson - loved Snow crash, D. Simons, R Heinlein

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crossed Tanami desert on a bicycle, alone with a tent and not enough water...

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm have extensive knowledge in all fields of sciences and philosophy. It might not be very deep, but it is broad :-).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Experiences from travells. Outdoor living, traveling on bike, through the desert...

Australia, Croatia, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Gambia, Italy, Malta, Mongolia, Poland, Portugal, Senegal, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United States
